Youth Landscaping Program – Summer Workforce Development (Ages 14–24)
Our Youth Landscaping Program is a hands-on summer workforce development initiative running from June through September for youth ages 14–24.
Participants receive practical training on how to safely and properly operate landscaping equipment, provide professional grass-cutting services, and deliver quality customer service to community residents.
This entrepreneurial program is designed to equip youth with the skills, confidence, and business knowledge needed to launch their own landscaping business if they choose. Through real-world experience, participants learn responsibility, teamwork, financial literacy basics, and work ethic — all while earning and serving their community.
We proudly offer low-cost landscaping services to support our neighborhoods.
Applications for the 2026 Summer Season will be opening soon. Stay tuned for details!

ICONS implements a strategic intervention and prevention model within CMSD schools to support student success and overall well-being.
Through early intervention, ICONS provides mentoring services that create a safe and supportive environment where youth feel valued and heard. We offer conflict resolution, restorative guidance, and individualized support to address challenges before they escalate and interfere with academic progress.
Our prevention approach includes engaging parents and caregivers to strengthen the home-school connection. We help families access community resources that reduce environmental stressors and improve students’ ability to focus and succeed in school.
ICONS also provides enrichment and exposure opportunities such as field trips, college visits, resource fairs, workforce development programming, and career readiness activities.
Our goal is to remove barriers, strengthen protective factors, and ensure students stay on the path to graduation and long-term success.
